Common questions
What makes a headlight "large"?
Oversized units — typically on 4WDs, utes, vans and some SUVs — take more material and more time on the tool. If you're unsure which yours is, send a photo through and we'll tell you before anything is booked, so the price you're quoted is the price you pay.
How long does it last?
The warranty is 12 months, but the finish typically lasts up to 3 years. The UV clear coat is what determines that — a polish-only job with no coating can start yellowing again within months, which is why we never skip it.
Is it cheaper than replacing the headlight?
By a wide margin. A single replacement unit for most cars runs into the several hundreds before fitting, and on European models it can pass a thousand. Restoration is a fraction of that, for a pair.
Will it pass a roadworthy?
Hazing bad enough to cut light output is a common roadworthy failure, and restoration fixes the lens clarity. It cannot fix a cracked housing or one with water inside it. Send a photo and we'll tell you honestly which one you're looking at.
Do you need power or water?
No. We bring our own, so a driveway, car park or kerbside spot is all that's needed.
